عشق کے سودے میں نقصان لیا جاتا ہے
Ishq ke saude mein nuqsaan liya jaata hai

اک جھلک دیکھ کے جس شخص کی چاہت ہو جائے
Ek jhalak dekh ke jis shakhs ki chahat ho jaaye

اس کو پردے میں بھی پہچان لیا جاتا ہے
Us ko parday mein bhi pehchaan liya jaata hai

پاؤں پڑتے ہیں زمیں پر تو دھڑک جاتا ہے دل
Paon parte hain zameen par to dhadak jaata hai dil

اس کی آہٹ سے اسے جان لیا جاتا ہے
Us ki aahat se use jaan liya jaata hai

Translation:

Defeat arrives the moment it is accepted.
Victory comes when one resolves to achieve it.
Respect and honor are received much later in this world.
First, one must endure humiliation in this city.
Those seeking profit should not enter this trade.
In the commerce of love, losses are embraced.
The one whose love awakens from a single glimpse
Can be recognized even behind a veil.
When their footsteps touch the ground, the heart trembles.
